Mélanie Saillard holds a master's degree in space design and design strategy from ENSAAMA in Paris, and began her career in a renowned Parisian architecture firm, before moving on to an interior design agency.

With a wealth of experience in designing top-of-the-range boutiques in France and Asia, Mélanie has gradually put her creativity at the service of private individuals for the renovation of their homes.

In 2019, Mélanie Saillard has decided to return to her native Normandy and open Atelier MAI, an interior design agency dedicated to immersing herself in existing buildings to sublimate them, rework them and make the most of them to accommodate new functions or new lifestyles.

Atelier MAI's vision of interior architecture is not to wipe the slate clean of a building's history, but to work with its past and its technical constraints to make it one's own by modernising it.

Simple lines and raw materials are favoured to create functional spaces that are both timeless and unique.
